[Gen 1] Removing Spruce Controller from the network

To fully disassociate the Spruce Controller from the SmartThings network, you must remove Spruce via the hardware and the SmartThings App.

Remove the hardware:

  1. On the Spruce Controller, touch the function key. The Spruce logo will light up blue.
  2. Touch Zone 16.  The Spruce logo will flash red, which indicates that it is disconnected from the network

Remove the device from the SmartThings App:

  1. In the Controller’s Thing page, tap the three dots at the upper right hand side of the screen, then tap Edit Device
  2. Scroll down and tap, “Remove”

Spruce Controller is now completely disassociated with your SmartThings Hub.
