Can I use the Spruce Sensors alone?
Yes, you may use the Spruce Sensors to monitor moisture – indoors or outdoors. As well, you do not need the Spruce Controller or an in-ground irrigation system to use the Spruce Sensor. The Spruce Controller is not required for the Spruce Sensor; the SmartThings Hub is still required.
